Keurig won’t turn on or keeps shutting off: power and auto-off checks
Auto-off can look like a power failure: K-Supreme Plus SMART switches off after five minutes, while K-Elite settings differ. A truly dead brewer gets only safe outlet and plug checks—never an opened casing.
Before you start
- ✓Check the model label and its normal auto-off delay.
- ✓Do not use an extension lead, adapter or damaged outlet for the test.

Wake the brewer and check auto-off
Press the normal power control once. K-Supreme Plus SMART automatically turns off five minutes after the last brew; K-Elite can use a longer programmed timer. Compare only with the exact manual.
✓ After this stepThe machine wakes normally and the previous shutdown matches auto-off. - 02
Test one grounded wall outlet
Unplug the brewer, inspect the plug and cable without using it if damaged, then connect directly to a known-working grounded wall outlet on its own circuit. Try the power control once.
✓ After this stepThe brewer powers on without flicker, heat or tripping. - 03
Stop if there is still no power
If the outlet is known to work and the brewer remains completely dark, contact Keurig. The K-Supreme guide states that the brewer is not user-serviceable beyond recommended cleaning and maintenance.
✓ After this stepNo casing, fuse or internal wiring has been opened.

FAQ · Keurig K-Supreme / K-Elite
Why does my K-Supreme switch off after five minutes?
That is the documented energy-saving behaviour of K-Supreme Plus SMART, not necessarily a fault. Other Keurig models can use different timers.
Should I replace an internal fuse myself?
No. The manufacturer limits user service to the published cleaning and maintenance procedures. A dead brewer on a working outlet belongs with Keurig support.
