Coffee Gear Index is designed to be useful without requiring an account or collecting a buyer profile.
Who is responsible and what is handled
Coffee Gear Index determines how information is used on this site. You can contact us at privacy@coffeegearindex.com. No account or public contact form is required; if you email us, we receive only the information you choose to include.
The hosting provider may process standard security logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested page and access time, to deliver and protect the site.
Purposes and legal bases
Technical logs are used to keep the site available, diagnose faults and prevent abuse on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure service. Emails are used only to answer your request and handle any necessary follow-up.
Audience measurement is optional and relies on your consent. Refusing it does not restrict the site, comparisons or buying links.
Google Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics and its audience-measurement cookies remain blocked until you allow statistics. If you consent, Google receives usage events such as the page viewed and interactions with clearly identified buying links. Advertising storage, Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled.
Your choice is stored in your browser so the site can respect it. Statistical cookies may remain for up to 24 months unless you withdraw consent or clear them. You can reopen Privacy choices in the footer at any time.
Recipients, retention and transfers
Hosting data is available to the hosting provider and authorised site operators when necessary. Analytics data is processed by Google as the audience-measurement provider. Event-level Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months; aggregated reports may be kept longer. Emails are kept only as long as needed to answer and meet applicable obligations.
Google may process information outside your country or the European Economic Area. Where required, these transfers rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Affiliate links and external sites
A clearly identified affiliate link may contain a tracking parameter. When you open a merchant site, that merchant and the affiliate network apply their own privacy and cookie policies. Coffee Gear Index does not receive your payment details.
Your choices and rights
You can withdraw Analytics consent at any time from Privacy choices in the footer. Depending on the law that applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of your personal information.
