Coffee matched to the brewing system

Which coffee should you use in your machine?

Choose the exact model. The answer distinguishes beans, ground coffee and mechanically different capsule systems, then explains the roast and preparation that suit the machine.

01

03

How the match is decided

  1. 1

First, the machine fixes the physical format: beans, ground coffee or one exact capsule family.

  2. 2

Then the brewing method determines a useful roast and grind range.

  3. 3

Finally, merchant offers are shown only when product, market, stock and destination all match.

Questions about coffee and machine fit

Is a coffee brand compatible with only one machine?

For beans, suitability depends mainly on roast, surface oil and grind. For capsules, the physical system is decisive: Original, Vertuo and Dolce Gusto are not interchangeable.

Why avoid very oily beans in automatic machines?

Oily or coated beans can leave sticky residue in compact hoppers and grinders. A dry-surfaced medium roast is a safer daily starting point; always follow the exact manual.

Are Vertuo Pop and Vertuo Next identical for every capsule size?

For Pop ENV90.A, the official page stops at 230 ml; the documented Vertuo Next version adds a carafe preparation. Follow the instructions for your exact local model.
