Dolce Gusto leaking: when to stop using it immediately
The leak location changes the answer. A poorly seated tank or capsule can be checked externally; water pooling beneath or around the machine is a manufacturer stop condition.
Before you start
- ✓Stop preparation and let any capsule pressure release.
- ✓Keep the machine upright.
- ✓Keep the plug and cable dry.

Check the removable tank externally
Remove the tank only after stopping the machine. Check that it is not overfilled, cracked or obstructed at the seating area, then refit it squarely.
✓ After this stepThe tank joint and the surface beneath it stay dry. - 02
Check capsule seating only after pressure release
When the holder opens normally, discard the used capsule and inspect only accessible residue around the holder. Wipe it clean; never touch the injector or perforator.
✓ After this stepThe holder closes normally and no hot capsule is trapped. - 03
Apply the beneath-machine stop rule
If water reappears beneath or around the electrical body, unplug only when it is safe to reach a dry plug, wipe the exterior and contact Dolce Gusto. Do not open the housing.
✓ After this stepNo further brewing test is needed once water reaches the base.
