Descale your De’Longhi Magnifica S for your model version
The Magnifica S ECAM22.110 uses one of two manufacturer procedures: water exits through the coffee outlet or through the steam wand. Check the exact control panel and manual before choosing the sequence.
Before you start
- ✓Read the complete ECAM code beneath the machine.
- ✓Remove a fitted water filter, then empty the drip tray and grounds container.
- ✓Keep hands away from hot, acidic discharge.

Match the outlet version
Use the official ECAM22.110 support page to choose the procedure whose control panel and discharge point match your machine. Some versions discharge through the coffee outlet, others through the steam wand.

Prepare the solution and container
Pour 100 ml of EcoDecalk to mark A, then add 1 litre of water to mark B. Place a container of at least 2 litres under the outlet named by your procedure.

Start the exact sequence
Hold the descaling key for at least five seconds, then follow the lights and steam-control position shown for your version. Let pumping and normal pauses continue.

Complete every clear-water rinse
Rinse and refill the tank when prompted and let the whole program finish. The official duration is about 45 minutes. If the light remains after a completed cycle, run the manufacturer’s water-only completion sequence with the tank filled to MAX.

Can I leave the DLSC002 filter in during descaling?
No. Remove the filter before descaling and prime it again or replace it before reactivation, following the exact ECAM manual.
